Violence prevention and suicide prevention for veteran wellbeing services
Isolation, frustration and desperation do not only lead to violence towards others. They are also
warning signs of self-harm and suicide. The C-10 helps veteran support workers recognise these
factors early and respond with connection, options and hope.
How the C-10 supports veteran services
➝ A shared language for wellbeing conversations. It is strengths-based and non-judgemental, and it doesn't require anyone to disclose their history.
➝ The 4Gs give veterans and their families a practical way to pause in high-pressure moments.
➝ It fits peer and outreach models, as well as advocates and volunteers.
Already in use by The Ten-Minute Window program, a veteran suicide prevention program to improve mental health and wellbeing among veterans in Gympie, Queensland.
What we deliver
➝ Training for outreach workers, advocates, peer supporters and volunteers
➝ Help to adapt the C-10 for your own programs
