Violence prevention training for community services
Family services, early childhood programs, migrant and refugee services, sporting clubs and volunteer organisations build trusted relationships every day. That trust creates moments where a calm word, a connection or a pause can change what happens next.
The C-10 and 4Gs give your staff and volunteers simple, adaptable tools to use in those moments, without running a separate program.
Built for diverse teams
➝ Plain language you can adapt. Teams can rename the tools, translate them, and use examples from their own community. In our national trial, one family service renamed the 4Gs "self-grounding" and used them in children's home languages.
➝ Works with children and families. Staff have used it to manage child-to-child aggression, to model calm and respectful communication with parents, and to interrupt patterns of violence passed between generations.
➝ Suits volunteers as well as paid staff. We can train your team leaders to cascade the training to volunteers, with guidance materials you own.
What we deliver
➝ Whole-of-team workshops, paced in small chunks (two factors at a time) for multilingual or volunteer workforces
➝ Train-the-trainer support for team leaders
➝ Advice on connecting the C-10 with your existing frameworks, such as early childhood practice and trauma-informed care
➝ Help to align the training with your disclosure, child safety and referral protocols.
Culturally safe, strengths-based, grounded in practice.
"It makes you feel a bit more empowered that you can actually do something that works." Volunteer community worker
