Brendan is a former registered nurse now working in the disability sector as a case manager. Brendan provides specialist education in psychiatry to workers within the sector, and is looking to expand this to incorporate learnings and strategies around violence prevention into modules on therapeutic communication. He sees support workers as being uniquely situated, community based front line workers, whose adoption of violence prevention strategies can facilitate change.
